Old fashioned Peach Cobbler

Wow, this is fabulous and smells so good while baking. it is really easy too. You can also top itwith a scoop of vanilla ice cream.



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Melt butter in 13x9 metal baking pan
  3. In a heavy saucepan combine peaches (undrained), 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water. bring to a boil.
  4. In a small bowl combine cornstarch and 3/4 cup of water and add to the peach mixture. Return to a boil.
  5. In a mixing bowl combine flour and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Add vanilla and enough milk to make a thin batter a little thinner than pancake batter)
  6. Pour hot peaches into pan with melted butter, and pour batter all over the peach mixture.
  7. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Pour sugar/cinnamon mixture over the top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes (until golden brown).
